Kolkata: MBBS student jumps to death

Yet another suicide by a medical aspirant, a second year MBBS student of Nil Ratan Sircar Medical College and Hospital, has occurred in Kolkata. The medical student committed suicide by jumping from a 5-storied building at P-32 CIT road in Beliaghata, Kolkata.

The deceased, 22, was upset over his failure in the second year of MBBS and was unable to cope up with the medical course. He lost a year and was depressed over it. He mentioned in a suicide note that no one was responsible for his death.

The medical superintendent of the medical college Dr Dwaipayan Biswas informed media that he was a student of the college but not was a boarder. He was living with his family in Beliaghata.

His family members informed the police that he was not able to cope up with the studies. His friends said that he remained aloof and did not share things with friends.
