Medical Superintendent of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital Prof Ajay Shukla will inaugurate special OPD which will be dedicated for transgender. The initiative can be seen as major initiative for the transgender community which is largely shun in the society.  

Prof Shukla will inaugurate the special facility on September 17, 2023, which is also Birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The OPD will be operational every Friday from 2 PM to 4PM.

A blood donation camp will also be organised on the occasion.

Treatment services including endocrinology, psychiatry, plastic surgery dermatology, medicine urology, pediatrics and blood infestations will be provided at the dedicated OPD.
