ENTOD Pharmaceuticals Donates School Bus to Special Needs Children in Jammu & Kashmir

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Bombay Seacoast, has taken a significant step towards supporting education in remote regions by donating a school bus to an army-run school for children with special needs in Drugmulla village, Kupwara District, Jammu & Kashmir, near the Line of Control (LOC).

The school bus was formally handed over by Kishore Masurkar, Chairman of ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, to the head teacher of the institution in the presence of members of the Indian armed forces. This initiative underscores the company’s continued commitment to social responsibility and community welfare in the region.

“Access to education remains a challenge in many remote areas of Kashmir, where children often have to travel long distances to attend school,” said Mr. Masurkar. “Understanding the importance of safe and reliable transportation, ENTOD has provided a fully equipped school bus to ensure that children can pursue their education without obstacles.” He further lauded the Indian Army’s dedication to running schools and hospitals in the region, emphasizing their role in community development in border areas.

Echoing the sentiment, Nikkhil K Masurkar, CEO of ENTOD Pharmaceuticals, stated, “This initiative aligns with our broader mission to support health, education, and overall well-being in underserved communities across India. It is one of many initiatives under ENTOD’s CSR programme, which focuses on improving healthcare, education, and quality of life in disadvantaged regions. At ENTOD, we believe in giving back to society and making a meaningful impact where it matters the most.”

This is not the first time ENTOD Pharmaceuticals has extended its support to the region. Last year, the company donated a school bus and an ambulance to Machhal village in Kupwara District, which have since become essential lifelines for the residents.

The initiative reflects ENTOD Pharmaceuticals' sustained efforts to bridge the educational and healthcare gaps in remote and underserved areas, reinforcing its commitment to fostering long-term community development.
