These prestigious awards acknowledge his remarkable contributions to science, medicine, pharmaceutical innovation, and cross-cultural collaboration over four decades.

The Memorial Medal was awarded to Dr. Saxena during the 65th-anniversary celebrations of the People’s Friendship University in Moscow. This honor, dedicated to the late Rector Prof. Stanis, commemorates his pioneering advancements in chemistry and medicine, as well as his commitment to promoting sportsmanship and holistic well-being. The recognition aligns with Prof. Stanis’s philosophy of “Be Beautiful People,” a sentiment that deeply resonates with Rusan Pharma’s values.

In a historic ceremony at the Kremlin, the Russian Minister of Science and Higher Education, on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, conferred upon Dr. Saxena the Order of Friendship. One of Russia’s highest civilian honors, the award recognizes his unwavering efforts in strengthening Indo-Russian relations, promoting Russian language and culture on a global scale, and driving pharmaceutical innovation. The official decree highlighted his leadership at Rusan Pharma and his instrumental role in fostering stronger ties between India and Russia through science and medicine.

Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Saxena emphasized that these awards were not his alone but a collective achievement. He credited every Rusanite, colleague, and family member who had supported him over the years, stating that the mission from Mumbai to Moscow has always been to advance healthcare and foster global unity. He added that this recognition further fuels the commitment to innovation and cross-cultural solidarity.

Dr. Saxena now joins an esteemed list of Indian luminaries who have been honored with the Order of Friendship. This distinguished group includes chess Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand, former Member of Parliament Murli Manohar Joshi, eminent scientist Dr. A.S. Pillai—founding CEO and MD of BrahMos Aerospace—poet and translator Madan Lal Madhu, former Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral, renowned jurist Justice V.R.
