Caution is recommended in patients with a history of allergic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics. Use with caution in patients with a history of renal impairment. Avoid excessive exposure to sunlight during treatment, as fluoroquinolones may increase sensitivity to UV light.
Common side effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances, allergic reactions, headache, dizziness, and skin rash. Serious but rare side effects may include tendon rupture, central nervous system effects, and severe allergic reactions.
-Concurrent use with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may increase the risk of central nervous system stimulation and seizures. -Concomitant use with antacids, sucralfate, or metal cations may reduce the absorption of Ofloxacin.
