Glipizide with Metformin
Glipizide with Metformin is a combination medication used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains glipizide, a sulfonylurea that helps lower blood sugar levels by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas, and metformin, a biguanide that improves insulin sensitivity and reduces glucose production in the liver.Management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.

Hypersensitivity to glipizide, metformin, or any component of the formulation. Severe renal impairment (eGFR < 30 mL/min/1.73 m²), metabolic acidosis, diabetic ketoacidosis.
Monitor renal function regularly. Discontinue use before iodinated contrast imaging procedures. Caution in elderly patients and those at risk of hypoglycemia.
Common side effects may include hypoglycemia (especially in combination with other antidiabetic agents), gastrointestinal upset (nausea, diarrhea), headache, dizziness.
Potential interactions with other medications, including NSAIDs, certain antibiotics, and drugs affecting renal function or metabolism.
