Ofloxacin with Tinidazole
Ofloxacin with Tinidazole is a combination of antibiotics used to treat a variety of bacterial and parasitic infections. Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic, while Tinidazole is an antiprotozoal agent with antibacterial properties. This combination provides broad-spectrum coverage against various pathogens.-Bacterial Infections: Effective against respiratory, urinary tract, and skin infections caused by susceptible bacteria. -Protozoal Infections: Used for the treatment of protozoal infections, including giardiasis and trichomoniasis. -Chronic sinusitis, intra-abdominal infections, gynaecological infections, skin and soft tissue infections, oro-dental infections, prophylaxis and treatment of post-operative infections.
-Dosage is determined based on the specific infection, patient factors, and susceptibility of the causative organisms. The combination is usually administered orally. -1 tab twice a day.
-Hypersensitivity: Avoid in patients with known hypersensitivity to ofloxacin, tinidazole, or related compounds. -Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Caution is advised during pregnancy and breastfeeding; consult a healthcare professional.
-Central Nervous System Disorders: Use with caution in patients with a history of or predisposition to central nervous system disorders. -Renal Impairment: Adjustments in dosage may be required in patients with renal dysfunction.

-Antacids, Iron, and Zinc: Administration of these substances may interfere with the absorption of ofloxacin. -Warfarin: Ofloxacin may enhance the anticoagulant effect of warfarin.
