Oseltamivir
It is a selective neuraminidase inhibitor. Treatment must start within 48 hours after the onset of symptoms, but is most effective if initiated as soon as possible (Uncomplicated acute illness due to influenza infection in patients aged 1 year and older who have been symptomatic for no more than 2 days.
75mg bid for 5 days. Dosage for Prophylaxis : 75mg once daily for at least 7 days following contact with an infected individual.
Treatment of influenza in paediatric patients younger than 1 year.
Nausea and vomiting.
