OXYPHENBUTAZONE
It is a major metabolite of Phenylbutazone. Its pharmacodynamic, pharmaco-kinetic, toxic and drug interaction profile is similar to Phenylbutazone. It is claimed to be better tolerated i.e. less gastric irritation.Severe rheumatic disorders.
100-200 mg. 2-3 times daily
Hypersensitivity to Oxyphenbutazone Tablet is a contraindication. In addition, Oxyphenbutazone Tablet should not be used if you have the following conditions: Existing bone marrow depression Gastric or duodenal ulcer Hypersensitivity Renal impairment
