It is an analogue of vitamin D. It is commercially available in oral as well as i.v. formulations.Hypocalcemia, Hyperthyroidism, osteodystrophy, renal failure, rickets and osteomalacia.
Hypersensitivity, hypocalcemia, hypervitaminosis, hepatic disorder, kidney disorder, diabetes, sarcoidosis, and malabsorption syndrome.
Consult a physician before using it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Constipation, rash, itching, drowsiness, vomiting, weakness, muscle pain, and joint pain.
Antacids, Digoxin, Chlorothiazide, metolazone, indapamide,and digoxin.
