Indications

Ovarian cancer.


Dosage

260mg/m2/day in 4 divided doses, for 14 or 21 consecutive days out of a 28 days cycle, up to 12 cycles.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity, bone marrow suppression, neurological toxicity.


Special Precautions

Paediatric: Safety not established. Pregnancy: Category D; risk to fetus. Lactation: Secreted in milk; discontinue breast feeding.


Side Effects

Bone-marrow depression eg, leukopaenia and thrombocytopaenia. Nausea and vomiting, myelosuppression, peripheral and central neuropathies; CNS symptoms, dose-limiting renal toxicity, rarely, rashes, anaemia, alopoecia, hepatic toxicity.


Drug Interactions

Pyridoxine, reduced response to vaccines, digoxin, oral anticoagulants, phenytoin, suxamethonium, amitriptyline, imipramine.
