AMOXYCILLIN TRIHYDRATE
Amoxicillin is a penicillin-derived antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections such as dental abscesses, and respiratory infections.Tonsillitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, ear infection and dental abscesses.
-Adults and children over 40 kg: 250 mg to 500 mg every 8 hours or 500 mg to 1 g every 12 hours. -Children under 40 kg: 20 to 40 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8 hours or 25 to 45 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 12 hours.
Hypersensitivity or allergy to any antibiotic, hepatic impairment and kidney disorder.
Consult a physician before using it during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Rashes, abdominal pain, fever, chills, difficulty in breathing and swelling on face, tongue, and throat.
Birth control pills, and similar antibiotics such as ampicillin, dicloxacillin, penicillin, etc. should not be combined with amoxicillin.
