AMYLASE ENZYMES

It is a digestive enzyme that is secreted by salivary glands, the pancreas, and used to break down starch molecules into glycogen and polysaccharide units. It is widely used in digestive tonic formulations.

Indications

Cancer, tumour, pancreatitis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, muscle pain, and osteoarthritis.


Contra-Indications

Myasthenia gravis, hepatic disorder, kidney diseases, and glaucoma.


Special Precautions

Chronic toxicity can be caused by the overuse or long-term use of amylase enzymes.


Side Effects

Nausea, vomiting, dizziness, shortness of breath, stomach discomfort, and allergic reactions.


Drug Interactions

Anticoagulants drugs, vitamin E and some antibiotics.
