Anantmool
Anantmool or Hemidesmus indicus is also known as Sariva in India. It possesses antioxidant, anti-diarrhoeal, anti-cancerous, cardioprotective, nephroprotective, anti-diabetics, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-venom, anti-angiogenic, anti-cancer, and anti-cataract activities. According to the Indian system of medicine, anantmool is used as a blood-purifying agent and helps to balance tridosha ( vata, pitta, and Kapha).Asthma, fever, sore throat, cold and cough, atherosclerosis, cardiac arrest, diabetes, psoriasis, eczema, acne, ulcer, loss of appetite, indigestion, constipation, and digestive disorders.
The average dose for anantmool powder is 1-3 grams in divided dose, for decoction is 14-18 ml after meal, and the average dose for syrup is 14-15 ml with water and lemon juice
