Anticold

Anticold is a combination medication used for the relief of symptoms associated with the common cold, allergies, and flu. It typically contains ingredients such as paracetamol, phenylephrine, and chlorpheniramine.

Indications

-Relief of symptoms due to the common cold -Allergies -Flu symptoms including nasal congestion, sneezing, and runny nose


Dosage

-Adults: 1 tablet every 6-8 hours as needed, not exceeding 4 tablets in 24 hours. -Children: Dosage as prescribed by a healthcare provider.


Contra-Indications

-Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients -Patients with severe hypertension or severe coronary artery disease -Concurrent use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of stopping such treatment


Special Precautions

-Use with caution in patients with liver or kidney impairment -Avoid alcohol consumption -Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical advice -May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating heavy machinery
