APPETITE STIMULANT
Appetite stimulant drugs also known as Orexigenic or appetisers, are used to enhance appetite and improve nutrition in patients with low appetite, weight loss and other chronic conditions including cancer, anorexia, malnutrition, pulmonary diseases, and HIV. The following appetite stimulants are approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA): Megestrol, Mirtazapine, Oxandrolone, etc.-Loss of appetite due to medical conditions such as cancer, chronic illness, or eating disorders. -Weight loss management in patients with malnutrition. -Supporting appetite in patients undergoing treatments like chemotherapy.
