ATENOLOL WITH CHLORTHALIDONE
Atenolol and Chlorthalidone in combination are used to treat hypertension ( high blood pressure) and cardiac arrest. Atenolol belongs to the beta blockers category. Chlorthalidone belongs to a group of drugs known as diuretics or water pills. Atenolol with Chlorthalidone is a combination medication that contains two active ingredients: Atenolol, a beta-blocker, and Chlorthalidone, a diuretic. Atenolol works by blocking the effects of certain natural chemicals in the body, such as adrenaline, which can affect the heart and blood vessels. Chlorthalidone helps the body to remove excess salt and water by increasing urine production.Hypertension, cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, angina and fluid retention caused due to heart failure.
