Atracurium Besilate
Atracurium Besylate is an intermediate-duration, nondepolarizing, skeletal muscle relaxant for intravenous administration.Atracurium besylate injection is indicated, as an adjunct to general anesthesia, to facilitate endotra-cheal intubation and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.
-Adults: Typically administered intravenously. Dosage is individualized based on the patient’s weight, the nature of the surgical procedure, and the desired level of muscle relaxation. -Pediatric Patients: Dosage should be adjusted based on the child's weight and clinical condition.
Hypersensitivity to drug or components; lack of ventilatory support, neuromuscular disease.
Since allergic cross-reactivity has been reported in this class, request information from your patients about previous anaphylactic reactions to other neuromuscular blocking agents.
Skin flushing or redness, injection site reactions, hives, itching, wheezing, shortness of breath, allergic reactions, inadequate musculoskeletal block, low blood pressure, and fast or slow heart rate.
