AUSTRALIAN TEA TREE

The Australian tea tree is also known as Leptospermum laevigatum. It exhibits anti-bacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anti dandruff, anti-acne, anti-ageing, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties. It helps to promote hair growth, and improve mood balance, and is specially used in aroma therapies. It is commercially used in hand sanitisers, deodorants, shampoo, hair oil, toothpaste, mouthwash, and insect repellent.

Indications

Acne, dandruff, hair loss, gingivitis, bad breath, inflammation, sore throat, nasal congestion, skin infections, insect bites, nail fungus infection and helps in wound healing.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity.


Special Precautions

Avoid using or consult a physician during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The excessive use of Australian tea tree preparations may cause severe side effects.


Side Effects

Rash, redness, inflammation, skin dryness, itching, burning sensation, dizziness, vomiting and difficulty in breathing.
