AZATADINE MALEATE
Azatadine Maleate is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergy, hay fever, and the common cold. It works by blocking the action of histamine, a substance in the body that causes allergic symptoms.Rash, itching, cough, runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes and redness in the eye.
-Adults: 1 to 2 mg twice daily -Children (6-12 years): 1 mg twice daily -Not recommended for children under 6 years
-Allergic rhinitis -Urticaria -Allergic conjunctivitis -Relief of symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, and watery eyes
-Use with caution in patients with a history of asthma -Avoid alcohol consumption as it can increase drowsiness -Not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary -Caution in elderly patients due to increased risk of dizziness and sedation
-Drowsiness -Dry mouth, nose, and throat -Dizziness -Blurred vision -Constipation -Difficulty urinating
-Increased effects with alcohol and other CNS depressants -May interact with MAO inhibitors -Potential interactions with antidepressants and other antihistamines
