Benfotiamine
It is the most potent allithiamine (a new group of thiamine derivatives), which has superior pharmacokinetic profile with less toxicity as compare to other vitamin-B1 derivatives. The two major manifestations of thiamine deficiency involve the cardiovascular system (wet beriberi) and nervous system (Dry beriberi and the Wernicke-korsakoff syndrome). Thiamine level may be deficient in even apparently well nourished alcoholics.Beri Beri, Wernicke-korsakoff syndrome and alcoholic neuroapthy. Diabetic neuropathy.
Adult dose is 100-200mg once daily orally.
Hypersensitivity to the ingredients.
Rarelly allergic manifestations - such as skin reactions, urticaria.
