Bepotastine

It is a histamine H1 receptor antagonist indicated for the treatment of itching associated with signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis.

Indications

Allergic rhinitis, urticaria, allergic conjuncitivitis


Dosage

Topical: 1.5% ophthalmic solution one drop in eye twice a day.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity.


Special Precautions

It should not be used for irritation due to contact lens.


Side Effects

Common side effects include headache, dry mouth, and drowsiness.


Drug Interactions

Bepotastine may interact with other sedatives or alcohol, increasing the risk of drowsiness.
