Betamethasone Valerate is a potent corticosteroid used topically to reduce inflammation and alleviate symptoms of various skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.

Indications

-Eczema -Psoriasis -Dermatitis -Allergic reactions -Other inflammatory skin conditions


Dosage

-Apply a thin layer to the affected area of the skin once or twice daily, as directed by a healthcare provider. -Do not exceed the recommended dosage or duration of use.


Contra-Indications

-Hypersensitivity to Betamethasone Valerate or any of its components -Infections of the skin (e.g., fungal, bacterial, or viral infections) unless treated with appropriate medication -Use in infants and young children should be avoided unless specifically prescribed


Special Precautions

It is recommended to consult a physician before using betamethasone during pregnancy and breastfeeding.


Side Effects

Hypersensitivity reactions, blurred vision, fatigue, dizziness, diabetes mellitus, weight gain, headache, indigestion, nausea, abdominal discomfort, pancreatitis, joint pain, palpitation, and cardiac diseases.


Drug Interactions

Antidiabetic drugs, antibiotics, anti-TB medications, anti-coagulants, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID).
