Boric Acid

As per the homoeopathic system of medicine, boric acid possesses antiseptic and antifungal properties and is used to maintain vaginal pH and treat infections. It is also used in pharmaceutical preparations like soaps, lotions, and other cosmetic products.

Indications

Skin diseases, acne, burns, wounds, yeast infections, vaginal infections and irritation, diaper rash, insect bites, and eye and ear infections.


Contra-Indications

Cardiac diseases, hypertension, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), and pelvic inflammatory diseases (PIDs).


Special Precautions

The use of boric acid is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.


Side Effects

Abdominal discomfort, fever, nausea, vaginal discomfort, redness and bleeding, and hypersensitivity reactions.
