The dosage of carboxymethyl cellulose polyvinyl acetate eye drops depends on the severity of dryness and the individual's response to treatment. It is typically instilled into the affected eye(s) as needed, usually one to two drops, up to four times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Contra-Indications

Individuals with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the formulation should not use carboxymethyl cellulose polyvinyl acetate eye drops. It is also contraindicated in cases of eye infections or injuries.

Side Effects

Common side effects of carboxymethyl cellulose polyvinyl acetate eye drops may include temporary stinging or burning sensation upon instillation, temporary blurred vision, or mild eye irritation. These effects are usually temporary and subside with continued use. However, if they persist or worsen, patients should consult a healthcare professional.
