Cephalexin with Bromhexine
Respiratory tract infections, abdominal surgery with risk of bronchopulmonary complications.
Cephalexin 1-2g with bromhexine 8 or 16mg t.i.d. depending on severity of infection. Continue therapy for min 48hrs after symptoms have subsided. Children:25-50 mg/kg body wt/day in div doses (calculated for cephalexin), may be increased upto 100mg/kg/day in severe infections.
