CROTAMITON

It is an affective scabicide, pediculocide and antipruritic. It is less prone to cause skin-irritation & can be preferred for children.

Indications

Pruritus. Scabies. Lice infestation.

Dosage

Scabies. Apply all over the body below neck followed by a 2nd application after 24 hrs & a scrub bath 48 hrs, after last application. Pruritus: massage gently into affected areas, avoid contact with eyes.

Contra-Indications

Acute exudative dermatitis, hypersensitivity to the drug.

Special Precautions

Not to be used on fresh, inflammed, weeping skin disorders. Acute exudative dermatitis. Avoid extensive use in infants. Prevent contact with eyes. Paediatrics: Use with caution. Pregnancy & Lactation: Safe. Elderly: Use with caution.

Side Effects

Allergic sensitivity, irritation.
