Cyclopentolate Hcl
Cyclopentolate HCl is an anticholinergic medication used primarily to induce mydriasis (dilation of the pupil) and cycloplegia (paralysis of the ciliary muscle of the eye) for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.-Diagnostic procedures requiring mydriasis and cycloplegia. -Treatment of uveitis.
-For adults: Typically, 1 to 2 drops of 1% solution in each eye, repeated as necessary. -For children: Dosage varies based on age and condition; consult prescribing guidelines.
-Known hypersensitivity to cyclopentolate or related compounds. -Glaucoma.
-Use with caution in elderly patients and those with Down syndrome. -Avoid contact lenses during administration. -Monitor intraocular pressure.
