Desoximetasone is a topical corticosteroid used to treat various skin conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis. It helps reduce inflammation, redness, and itching.

Indications

-Eczema -Psoriasis -Dermatitis -Allergic reactions -Rashes -Other inflammatory skin conditions


Dosage

Apply a thin layer of Desoximetasone cream or ointment to the affected area of the skin once or twice daily, or as directed by a healthcare provider. Avoid using it on large areas of the body or for prolonged periods.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity.


Special Precautions

-Use with caution in children, as long-term use may affect growth. -Avoid application on the face, underarms, or groin unless prescribed by a healthcare provider. -Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. -Do not use in conjunction with occlusive dressings unless directed by a healthcare provider.


Side Effects

Burning, itching, irritation, dryness, folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, perioral dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, maceration of the skin, secondary infection, skin atrophy, striae, and miliaria.


Drug Interactions

-Avoid using with other topical corticosteroids to prevent potential additive effects. -Inform your healthcare provider of any other medications or topical products being used.
