Indications

Spastic paralysis (cerebrovascular/spinal), Postoperative sequelae, sequelae to trauma (spinal, head injury), cervical syndrome/spondylosis, periarthritis of shoulder, lumbago, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cerebral palsy, spinocerebellar degeneration. Spinovascular disease, encephalomyelopathies.


Dosage

Adults : 50-150mg per day orally in divided doses after meals.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity, Paediatrics.


Special Precautions

Reduce dosage in elderly and monitor for signs of psychological hypofuntion. Do not drive and operate machinery. Hepatic dysfunction.


Side Effects

Shock & anaphylactoid reactions. Excessive relaxation, stamachache, diarrhea, vomiting, indigestion, constipation, GI disturbance, Nausea, Vertigo, anorexia, drowsiness, insomnia, headache, skin rashes oculomucocutaneous syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis, depletion of myelin sheath, of nerves, anemia, urinary retention or incontinence.


Drug Interactions

Tolperisone Hydrochloride, Methocarbamol.
