Fluticasone propionate

It is a glucocorticoid with high topical anti-inflammatory potency but low HPA-axis suppressive activity. Fluticosone propionate has a high degree of selectivity to the glucocorticoid receptor. This receptor is believed to be responsible for the anti-inflammatory properties of glucocorticoids.

Indications

Inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses.


Dosage

Apply to the affected area once daily.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity,rosacea, Acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, primary cutaneous viral infection.


Special Precautions

Pregnancy, lactation, children, psoriasis.


Side Effects

Local burning, pruritus, thinning of skin, striae, dilation of the superficial blood vessels, hypertrichosis & hypopigmentation.
