Hingu, also known as Asafoetida, is a resinous gum derived from the roots of Ferula plants. It has a strong, pungent odor and is commonly used in traditional medicine and culinary applications.

Indications

-Digestive disorders such as flatulence, indigestion, and bloating -Respiratory issues like asthma, bronchitis, and cough -Menstrual irregularities and pain -Nervous disorders and hysteria -Topical use for insect bites and skin conditions


Dosage

-For digestive issues: 250-500 mg with warm water after meals, up to three times daily. -For respiratory issues: 250-500 mg mixed with honey or warm water, twice daily. -For menstrual problems: 250-500 mg with warm water, twice daily, starting a few days before the expected period.


Contra-Indications

-Pregnancy and breastfeeding -Allergy to Asafoetida -Gastrointestinal ulcerations -Bleeding disorders
