Hydrocortisone
Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid medication used to treat various conditions such as inflammation, immune system disorders, and adrenal insufficiency. It is available in different forms including tablets, injections, creams, and suppositories, depending on the condition being treated. -Increased risk of infections due to immunosuppression -Adrenal suppression, especially with long-term use -Blood sugar and blood pressure levels (may cause increases)
-Weight gain and fluid retention -Mood changes (e.g., irritability, anxiety) -Skin thinning and increased susceptibility to bruising
-Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), increasing the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding -Diuretics, increasing the risk of hypokalemia -Vaccines, which may be less effective
