MESTEROLONE

It balances a deficiency of androgen formation which begins to fall gradually with increasing age.Therefore it is suitable for the treatment of all conditions caused by deficient endogenous androgen formation. In the recommended therapeutic dosage, mesterolone will not impair spermatogenesis. It is especially well tolerated by the liver.

Indications

Potency disturbances due to androgen deficiency. Hypogonadism. Infertility (Oligozoo-spermia & difficient Leydig-cell secretion)

Dosage

Potency disturbances : 25 mg 3 times daily. Maint 25 mg 1-2 times daily. Hypogonadism : 25-50 mg 3 times daily. Maint: 25 mg 2-3 times daiy for several months. Infertility : 25 mg 2-3 times daily for about 90 days.

Contra-Indications

Carcinoma of the prostate, previous or existing liver tumours.

Special Precautions

Not suitable for enhancing muscular development in healthy individual. For male patients only. Examine prostate prophylactically. Intra abdominal haemorrhage due to malignant liver tumours.

Side Effects

Frequent or persistant erection.

Drug Interactions

Reduced efficacy of anticoagulants and hypoglycaemic agents. Metabolism liver enzymes inducing drugs.
