MUCOPOLYSACCHARIDE POLY SULPHATE

Mucopolysaccharide Poly Sulphate is a sulfated polysaccharide used primarily for its anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, and wound-healing properties. It works by inhibiting the activity of certain enzymes and proteins that cause inflammation and blood clotting.

Indications

-Treatment of superficial thrombophlebitis -Reduction of inflammation and swelling in soft tissues -Management of varicose veins -Post-operative and post-traumatic edema


Dosage

-Adults: Apply a thin layer of the cream or gel to the affected area 2-3 times daily or as directed by a physician. -Children: Dosage should be determined by a pediatrician.


Contra-Indications

-Hypersensitivity to Mucopolysaccharide Poly Sulphate or any of its components -Active bleeding or bleeding disorders -Severe hepatic or renal impairment


Special Precautions

-Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. -Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers. -Discontinue use if a rash or irritation develops. -Not recommended for use during pregnancy or lactation unless deemed necessary by a healthcare provider.


Side Effects

-Local skin reactions such as redness, itching, or rash -Rare systemic effects like nausea or headache


Drug Interactions

-Anticoagulants: Increased risk of bleeding -Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs): Potential for enhanced anti-inflammatory effect but also increased bleeding risk
