NORFLOXACIN WITH TINIDAZOLE

Indications

Treatment of diarrhoea and dysentery of amoebic,bacterial or mixed origins.

Dosage

The dosage is one tablt twice daily for 5-10 days.

Contra-Indications

In patients hypersensitive to quinolone group of compounds.

Side Effects

Nausea, head ache, dizziness, fatigue, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, insomnia, constipation, heart burn and metallic taste.

Drug Interactions

Disulfiram like reaction when used with alcohol. Probenecid reduces the urinary excretion of Norfloxacin. Nitrofurantoin antagonises the effect of Norfloxacin. Theophylline level are increased when use with Norfloxacin. Effects of oral anticoagulant are increased.
