OCTINOXATE

Octinoxate, also known as Octyl Methoxycinnamate, is a chemical commonly used in sunscreens and skincare products to protect the skin from the harmful effects of UVB rays. It absorbs UVB radiation, preventing it from penetrating the skin and causing sunburn.

Indications

-Used in sunscreens and other skincare products to protect against UVB radiation. -Helps prevent sunburn and skin damage caused by sun exposure.


Dosage

-Topical application: Apply liberally to all exposed areas of the skin at least 15 minutes before sun exposure. -Reapplication: Reapply at least every two hours, and immediately after swimming, sweating, or towel drying.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity to Octinoxate or any component of the formulation.


Special Precautions

-For external use only. -Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. -Use on intact skin only; do not apply to broken or damaged skin. -Consult a doctor before use if you have a history of skin allergies or sensitivities.


Side Effects

-Mild skin irritation or redness. -Allergic reactions, including itching or rash.
