PHOLCODINE
Pholcodine is a medication used as a cough suppressant, typically found in various cough syrups.-Relief of dry, irritating coughs. -Cough associated with bronchitis and respiratory tract infections.
-Adult dosage: Typically 10-20 mg every 4-6 hours. -Children dosage: Adjusted based on weight and age, usually under medical supervision.
-Known hypersensitivity to pholcodine. -Severe respiratory insufficiency. -Risk of paralytic ileus.
