It is newer dopamine receptor agonist, selective for d2 receptors. It is absorbed orally with good bioavailability.Parkinson's disease.
0.125mg as starting dose, increase gradually till usual dose of 1.5-4.5mg/day.
Hypersensetivity, Pregnancy and lactation.
Hepatic and Renal diseases.
Nausea, dizziness, hallucination, somnolence, confusion and orthostatic hypotension.
cyt p450 enzyme inhibitors inhibit metabolism and increase blood levels of pramipexole.
