Indications

Fast heart beat, Adjunct treatment for muscle spasms, Anxiety disorder, Hypertension, Migraine, Management of anxiety disorder, Relief of alcohol withdrawal symptoms, Adjunct treatment for seizures

Dosage

Tablet: Schedule IV 2 mg 5 mg 10 mg Oral solution: Schedule IV 1mg/1mL 5mg/mL

Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines, myasthenia gravis.

Special Precautions

Propranolol and Diazepam prescription medicine used to treat anxiety, muscle spasms, and seizures. It is also used to treat symptoms of alcohol withdrawal including agitation, tremor, and hallucinations.

Side Effects

Stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, disorientation, hair loss, weakness and sexual dysfunction

Drug Interactions

Grapefruit and grapefruit juice may interact with diazepam and lead to potentially dangerous effects. Discuss the use of grapefruit products with your doctor.
