SOFALCON

It is a potent gastroprotective agent. Sofalcon induces vasodilation in the gastric mucosal circulation and increases gastric blood flow. Sofalcon increases oxygen consumption in the gastric tissues as revealed by measuring the intravascular partial pressure of oxygen. In gastric ulcer patients, Sofalcon increases the quantity of prostaglandins in gastric mucosa.

Indications

Gastric mucosal lesions associated with acute gastritis or acute exacerbation of chronic gastritis. Treatment of gastric ulcer.


Dosage

Oral; 100mg thrice daily.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity


Special Precautions

Lactating mother.


Side Effects

Constipation, Thirst, heart burn and rash.
