Indications

Contra-Indications

-Systemic fungal infections -Hypersensitivity to triamcinolone or any component of the formulation -Active peptic ulcer disease -Recent surgery or trauma where wound healing is critical


Special Precautions

-Use with caution in patients with diabetes, hypertension, or gastrointestinal disorders. -Monitor for signs of infection or poor wound healing. -Gradual withdrawal is recommended to avoid adrenal insufficiency.


Side Effects

-Common: Weight gain, fluid retention, increased appetite, mood changes -Serious: Osteoporosis, hypertension, hyperglycemia, peptic ulcers, adrenal suppression


Drug Interactions

-May enhance the effects of other corticosteroids or immunosuppressants. -Can reduce the effectiveness of vaccines. -Use with caution in combination with diuretics or other drugs that affect potassium levels.
