Trifarotene is a topical retinoid indicated for the treatment of acne vulgaris.

Indications

Treatment of acne vulgaris


Dosage

Apply a thin layer of trifarotene gel to the affected areas once daily in the evening, preferably at the same time each day.


Contra-Indications

Hypersensitivity to trifarotene or any component of the formulation


Special Precautions

-Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, angles of the nose, and mucous membranes. -Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing to avoid photosensitivity reactions. -Caution in patients with eczematous skin conditions.


Side Effects

Common side effects may include: -Skin irritation (redness, dryness, itching, burning) -Peeling -Erythema (skin redness)


Drug Interactions

No significant drug interactions have been reported with trifarotene.
