VECURONIUM BROMIDE

Indications

Adjunct to general anaesthesia, to facilitate endotracheal intubation and to provide skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation.

Dosage

Adults: 80-100 mcg/kg IV. Maintenance 20-30 mcg/kg according to response and need. Neonates & infants (upto 4 months): Initially 10-20 mcg/kg, incremental doses to achieve response. Child (over 4 months): Same as adult dose. Alternatively IV infusion 50-80 mcg/kg/hr (after initial IV inj of 40-100 mcg/kg) may be adopted.
