AIIMS Launches Pilot of 'System for AIIMS Human Resources & Accounting Services
AIIMS New Delhi takes a leap forward in transparency and efficiency with the pilot launch of the 'System for AIIMS Human Resources & Accounting Services (SAHAS).' Developed in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), SAHAS aims to revolutionize human resource management and financial processes at the institution.

SAHAS, short for 'System for AIIMS Human Resources & Accounting Services,' underscores AIIMS New Delhi's dedication to digital transformation and data-driven decision-making. The system introduces key features to streamline operations, enhance resource allocation, and improve utilization.
Key functionalities of SAHAS include the provision of unique employee codes linked to PAN numbers, digitization of HR processes for accessibility, comprehensive financial transaction management, integration of procurement and engineering functions, and analysis of trends for budget utilization and fraud prevention.
The pilot phase of SAHAS, set to begin on April 1, 2024, will introduce electronic maintenance of service files for employees, financial management functions such as budget allocation and payroll processing, migration of the Procurement Digital Library, and onboarding of the Engineering Department onto the platform.
AIIMS New Delhi emphasizes that SAHAS will be the primary platform for all financial and procurement transactions, ensuring transparency and accuracy. Dr. (Prof) M. Srinivas, Director of AIIMS, New Delhi, expresses the institution's commitment to leveraging technology for operational efficiency and accountability. The launch of SAHAS marks a significant milestone in this journey towards excellence in healthcare and administration.
