The Modi government has appointed Jadhav Prataprao Ganpatrao as the new Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Ayush. In addition, Ganpatrao will serve as Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Ganpatrao will replace Sarbananda Sonowal in the Ayush ministry. This dual role underscores the government’s commitment to integrating traditional and modern healthcare systems, as Ganpatrao brings his experience and political acumen to these critical positions.

His appointment is part of a broader strategy to strengthen India's healthcare and wellness sectors, ensuring cohesive policy implementation and innovation in both the Ayush and Health Ministries.
