Free Dental Camps Provide Vital Services in Dilshad Garden

Recently, two free dental camps were organized in Dilshad Garden, significantly benefiting the local community and showcasing a commendable spirit of service.

The first camp took place at the Border Security Force (BSF) Camp, Community Hall in Dilshad Colony. Comprehensive dental check-ups were conducted for BSF officers, soldiers, and their families. Those diagnosed with cavities or other dental issues received free toothpaste and medications, along with personalized advice.

Inspector Balbir Kumar, Commander of BSF's 167 Battalion, A Company, expressed his gratitude, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for community welfare. Sub-Inspector Sanjeev Kumar Jha, Ramnarayan, and Constable Deva also contributed significantly to the event's success.

Following the BSF camp, another camp was held at Ashiyana Old Age Home in Nand Nagri. Operated by the All India Disabled, Widow, and Elderly Service Committee, the home provides free accommodation, food, and medical care to destitute and homeless elderly women. Thorough dental examinations were performed for approximately 20 residents, offering free toothpaste and medications.

Sunehri Lal Yadav, the organization's president, thanked the organizers and all participants for their support. Active roles were played by Dr. Rakesh Raman Jha, President of Poorvanchal Vichar Manch, Shashi Kiran Jha, BSF Constable Vasu, Constable Krishna, Sajid Chaudhary, Vinay Tiwari, Vandana Negi, Amit Yadav, Abhinav Yadav, and Suraj Paswan. The company ICTA facilitated the free distribution of dental care products at both camps.

A touching incident at the Ashiyana Old Age Home highlighted the dedication to social service. Delhi Police had placed an elderly woman, separated from her family in Haridwar, at the home. The woman, originally from Vishunpur village in Darbhanga, informed the dentist about her background. Leveraging connections in the Bihar Police, the dentist located her children, who were reunited with her on Saturday. The grateful woman expressed heartfelt thanks to the organizers and the home's administrators for their efforts in reuniting her with her family.

These initiatives have not only provided essential dental care to many but have also underscored the vital role of community service in fostering social well-being.
