Avesthagen and Apollo AyurVAID Partner to Revolutionize Medical Nutrition with Ayurveda-Backed Products

Avesthagen Limited and Apollo AyurVAID, a unit of Kerala First Health Services under the Apollo Hospitals Group, have announced a groundbreaking partnership aimed at setting new standards in medical nutrition. This collaboration will focus on designing, validating, manufacturing, and marketing a range of scientifically backed medical foods and dietary supplements under the joint brand “AvestaAyurVAID.” The initiative is poised to merge the ancient principles of Ayurveda with modern scientific validation, creating products that promise to redefine quality, efficacy, and safety in the industry.


The AvestaAyurVAID product line will integrate Ayurvedic wisdom with cutting-edge medical nutrition to cater to the specific dietary needs associated with various diseases and conditions. These products will be formulated using natural bioactives derived from Ayurveda botanical candidates, which will be developed and validated through Avesthagen’s proprietary bioactive discovery engine, ADePt®, and its exclusive bioactive testing methodology, MetaGrid®. The partnership emphasizes rigorous scientific and clinical validation to ensure that each product meets the highest standards of safety and efficacy.

The collaboration will harness the combined expertise of Avesthagen and Apollo AyurVAID to create precision medical foods that promote holistic wellness and advance integrative medicine. The partnership will particularly focus on managing chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, and metabolic disorders, as well as addressing areas like onco-nutrition, immunity, cognitive health, and mental well-being.

Manufacturing responsibilities will fall to Avesthagen subsidiaries Avesta Nordic Research Pvt Ltd. and Avesta Good Earth Foods Pvt. Ltd., while Apollo AyurVAID will oversee the marketing of the products. Product development will be a joint effort, ensuring that the final offerings are both scientifically sound and rooted in Ayurvedic tradition.
