However, the completion of only about 250,000 IVF rounds annually highlights a significant gap in availability and understanding. A recent analysis in The Lancet reveals that India's Total Fertility Rate (TFR) has dropped to 1.91 as of 2021, falling short of the replacement level of 2.1 necessary for population stabilization. This drop highlights the crucial need for accessible and effective reproductive treatments, particularly in underserved communities.
