New Antenatal Care Registration Counter Launched at Safdarjung Hospital

Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC) and Safdarjung Hospital (SJH) have marked a significant advancement in maternal healthcare with the inauguration of a new Antenatal Care (ANC) registration counter. The facility was officially opened today by Dr. Vandana Talwar, MS, at Safdarjung Hospital, with a ceremony attended by key figures from the institution, including Additional Medical Superintendents (AMS) Dr. P.S. Bhatia, Dr. Jayanthi Mani, Dr. Kapil Suri, Dr. R.P. Arora, Dr. Krishan Kumar, and Dr. Pankaj Ranjan, OPD in-charge.


Dr. Bindu Bajaj, Head of the Department, highlighted the counter’s importance, noting it as "a positive move to enhance prenatal care accessibility." The new facility aims to streamline the registration process for antenatal care, significantly reducing wait times and improving the overall experience for pregnant women seeking care at VMMC and SJH.

This development is part of the hospital's broader strategy to enhance maternal healthcare services and improve prenatal care efficiency. By upgrading the registration process, VMMC and SJH are working towards ensuring that more women in the community receive timely, high-quality prenatal care.
